Help Installing

  • Hi, I'm trying to install puffer-panel. I have the latest version of Ubuntu. I make it to here:

    curl -L -o pufferpanel.tar.gz https://git.io/fNZYg
    tar -xf pufferpanel.tar.gz

I tried running the lines separately first, that didn't work, so I typed them in together as one command, and I got

    [myname]@[computername]:/srv$ sudo -i curl -L -o pufferpanel.tar.gz https://git.io/fNZYg tar -xf pufferpanel.tar.gz
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
      0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0curl: (5) Could not resolve proxy: f
curl: (5) Could not resolve proxy: f
curl: (5) Could not resolve proxy: f

and the next command didn't do anything. Help?

  • You cannot put them together like that, it does not work.

What happened when you followed the docs exactly as they said?

  • [myname]@[computername]:/srv$ tar -xf pufferpanel.tar.gz
tar: pufferpanel.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

  • When I run it with sudo it works, and everything works up to the last command, which I'd assume is supposed to actually run the installer? I just get:

    [myname]@[computername]:/srv$ sudo -i ./pufferpanel install
    -bash: ./pufferpanel: Is a directory
