Issues with creating a server.

  • Hello,
I can not create a server, whenever I try I get the error:

An error occurred while trying to connect to the remote node. Please check that the daemon is running and try again.
An error occurred trying to add a server. () []

On the list nodes page it says that status is green:

No idea what to do, any suggestions appreciated.

    OS: CentOS 7 Minimal
    Framework: Nginx

    • Change public address of node to public IP
    • Switched to v1.0.3 but had different issue when creating a server.

    Log -- Pufferpanel

PHP Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /srv/pufferpanel/src/routes/admin/server/routes.php:299 @

  • For future reference
The error was an incorrect authentication token in /etc/pufferd/config.json.

    To rectify:

    # If you don't have phpMyAdmin setup
    mysql -u root -p
    # Login in with your password
    USE pufferpanel
    SELECT daemon_secret FROM nodes;
    # It should return the correct authentication token from which you should update the authentication token in /etc/pufferd/config.json
    # If you do have phpMyAdmin setup:
    Navigate to pufferpanel
    Navigate to nodes
    Check the daemon_secret
    # Again if it doesn't match update the authentication token in /etc/pufferd/config.json

Thanks to puffrfish for the solution,

  • Glad you got it working and thanks for posting the solution to your problem!
