Hi there, I am having problems starting a server, installing stuff using Buildtools etc.
I am running Ubuntu 16.04 and I have made it work, I know its not officially supported but its what I am stuck with, Please help.
I have an internal IP and an external
What am I supposed to do?
Unfortunately it is not supposed to be compatible with Ubuntu 16.04.
I have made it work, my problem is that I'm behind a NAT network
Is there a firewall that may be blocking such requests?
Please click the notification bubble and make an exception in your browser for your scales's SSL cert.
If your browser times out trying to connect to the site it redirects you to, try the following:
- Make sure scales is running. Navigate to /srv/scales and run ./scales stop . If it can't find the process, type ./scales start
- Make sure scales has a valid SSL certificate. For instructions to generate one, see this documentation
@MattBSG It will simply take me to the Internal IP, I have accepted the SSL cert but using the external IP as the FQDN will result in the daemon not being recognised
@AsaPlaysMC1 that means you configured your cert wrong. The scales daemon will only connect if the FQDN is used to connect to it, in this case the internal ip. It should be your domain or external ip.
Delete https.key & https.pem in /srv/scales and follow this part of the SSL guide
@MattBSG It will not ping my node if I enter any external IP or FQDN, it will only accept the internal IP (I am on a NAT network)
@AsaPlaysMC1 I'm sorry, that's a bit farther than what I can help you with
