How to acces panel after intallation?

  • Hi guys. I'm using a dedicated server for my minecraft servers. I managed to install this panel, but now how I can acces it? If i type my ip or my dns, i have the default httpd message.

  • assuming your running a clean install. I was a little confused at first too but its simple.
you have got to go to http://<what you entered for your FDQN>. allot of browsers automatically add www but if you type in http it will over-ride that.

  • Still nothing. Can you see something on ip http://164.132.34.209/ or with dns mc.b-zone.ro ?

  • ohh i see your problem, your going to need to do a full uninstall of apache before puffer panel works. puffer panel uses nginx, and nginx will not run on a machine with apache.

you can do a full uninstall of apache by typing; (do the method im explaining only if your using debian or ubuntu.)
    sudo apt-get remove apache2
    sudo apt-get autoremove

after that do a restart of the machine (sudo reboot)

  • Here is the code for centOS to fix this :

sudo yum erase httpd httpd-tools apr apr-util

Then install nginx with yum install nginx if you didnt installed it.

  • Going to try it now. Thank you for reply. I will be back with more infomations.

  • http://164.132.34.209/ I get bad gateway. What's the problem?

  • I fixed bad gateway, now i have 404 error.

  • It looks like your using fedora. Fedora does not seem to have a successful install recorded yet.

The current operating systems that were tested and working are.

    Ubuntu 15.10
    Ubuntu 14.04
    Debian 8.2
    Centos 7.1

Try doing a clean install with Centos 7.1 because commands are simaler to fedora.

  • Actually the CentOS 7 default page says Fedora for some reason, so it is possible they are running CentOS. The issue is definitely with the nginx configuration now.

The PufferPanel installer puts a pufferpanel.conf file in /etc/nginx/conf.d (on CentOS). If this does not exist, create one by following these instructions, making sure to update the server_name and fastcgi_pass line if needed. http://www.pufferpanel.com/v0.8.6/docs/nginx-configuration

  • never knew that, thats good to know.
