Ah ok, I understand. I already saw that in an upcoming version the Scalers daemons will be replaced by pufferd.
Hopefully an full-function API will be available in the near future for business focused ends, since I really think this panel is cleaner and neater then Multicraft is.
I can explain in a little better detail about this for those that don't know.
HLDS is a tool to essentially pull games such as day of defeat (I believe) and Counter-strike from steam as gameservers. It pretty much uses steamcmd like the SCRDS option, but all older games use the same app id (90), and need an extra argument when installing.
This can be done with an extra argument when installing the server
//app_set_config <app_id> <option_name> <option_value>
//app_update <app_id> validate
Sorry about moving your post all around, I didn't see you opened a support thread. I think this is important enough of a feature request to leave as its own topic though as NodeBB doesn't let me move a post back into a thread.
I definitely agree this is important, however with how little time we have anymore for development I can't say it is coming anytime soon. For those that are experiencing this issue, please see the instructions I posted here.
nevermind, it seems its actually to actually be trying to pull it from the docker repository.
it seems you need to have a plugin there under puffer panel for it to download here.
thats just my analisis of this error hopefully @puffrfish can give a better explaination
We've considered some kind of dashboard that users view when they first load the panel in the past and the redesign will probably have something like that, but I don't know the exact data we could display on it.
Right now PufferPanel directly queries servers to get various kinds of data from them and it's not ideal but it works. It is challenging since each server type has a different way of getting that sort of data. We want to make PufferPanel easier to add additional games types. While that is largely dependent on pufferd being able to handle it, our challenge is in not having a situation like we currently have where the daemon's game types and PufferPanel's game types have to match up. An option is moving this functionality to pufferd, but I don't know how appropriate it is to be in the daemon.
It's definitely not something that would be in the next release though, or maybe even in v1.0.0. It is a project itself to make a really useful dashboard, but I am a fan of them so I would love to see a great one in PufferPanel.
No problem, keep it coming. I just like to explain my reasoning since I do not want us to be seen as just developers that rain on everyone's parade. It sucks to have to tell people "no" somewhat frequently, but it comes with the territory.
